Whether you’re a marathoner\, a walker\, or a gym-goer\, you’ll find a community here that cheers for your milestones both on and off the clock. \nPanelists: \n\nAsha Steele is a Brand Marketing expert and Nike EKIN for the DMV. A Rutgers University graduate and retired elite sprinter\, Asha is a former American Record Holder in the women’s 4x200m. Now navigating her newest rewarding challenge as a “New Mommy\,” she brings the same record-breaking energy to the DMV running community that she once brought to the track.\nAlex Germano is a geriatric physical therapist\, CrossFit coach\, and proud mom of two. With 17 years in CrossFit\, she has built a vibrant career coaching athletes\, caring for older adults\, and teaching across the country. She is driven to create meaningful work while staying present in her roles as a mother and military spouse. \nRae Granofsky is a once a self-described “couch athlete\,” Rae transformed small\, tentative steps around her neighborhood into ultramarathons through the power of community and persistent growth. Today\, she balances life as a PhD student and mother by championing an inclusive approach to movement\, proving it is never too late to redefine what strength looks like.

DESCRIPTION:Laura Allen has been a part of the Charm City Run Race Team the past couple years\, and she is off to work on two of the seven-continent marathons. Join us for a celebratory sendoff breakfast and Q&A event for her at Charm City Run Annapolis!  \nLaura Allen is an Annapolis-based masters-level runner with a passion for marathons. Ms. Allen has completed: all seven Abbott World Marathon Majors\, two in her forties (Chicago – 2003 and Boston – 2005 and 2006) and five in her sixties (New York – 2022\, London – 2023\, Berlin – 2023\, Tokyo – 2025\, and Sydney – 2025). \nShe is currently focused on running a marathon on all seven continents. To accomplish this goal\, she will run the Antarctica Marathon on March 19th and the Patagonia Marathon on April 25th. She will also run the Cape Town Marathon in May\, which is expected to become the 8th Abbott World Marathon Major. When she’s not running\, Ms. Allen enjoys knitting\, traveling with her husband\, and drinking excellent coffee with friends.
